Young Artist Award winners

Waxahachie High School choir seniors took both prizes in the Waxahachie Symphony Association Young Artist Award scholarship competition. Kamerann Burney (at right), was named the first-place winner of a $1,500 scholarship, with Madison Zandt, the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship. Burney will also perform at the Waxahachie Symphony Concert presenting pianist Sean Chen at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the SAGU Hagee Center.
