Miracle League opener

Due to weather, the opening day ceremony and game for the Miracle League has been rescheduled to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the new Miracle League Field in the Optimist Field Complex, Waxahachie.

The event celebrates the completion of the Miracle League’s new all-access, no-barriers field. Two former Texas Rangers are expected to be in attendance to throw out the first pitch as the Miracles are welcomed onto their new field.

Rainy weather caused the cancellation of the original opening date, with inclement weather expected again Saturday the 13th.

Miracle League players and their families will use the parking lot next to the Optimist building off of North Patrick Street. Spectators are asked to use the parking lot off of Spencer Street.

The community is invited and encouraged to attend the celebration.
