Waxahachie High School head volleyball coach Sandy Faussett-Stoops reached 800 career wins with a victory over Waco Midway on Friday afternoon at the MISD Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Invitational.

“Coach Faussett inspires her players to greatness and the fact that she’s reached 800 career wins is no surprise to anyone,” said Waxahachie ISD athletic director Greg Reed. “We are proud of this accomplishment and can’t wait to cheer Coach Faussett onto many more wins this season and beyond.”

Faussett-Stoops is in her 19th season of coaching the Lady Indians volleyball team. Under her leadership, the varsity Lady Indians have reached 11 regional quarterfinals and achieved 14 area and 15 bi-district championships.

Faussett-Stoops has been leading teams to victory for more than 30 years, having coached at the 3A, 4A, 5A and now 6A levels. Her teams have reached at least the area round of the UIL playoffs in all but one year of her coaching tenure in Waxahachie ISD.
