Starting Nov. 2, all Waxahachie ISD students will be eligible to receive free meals on school days until further notice.

This opportunity was made available by the Texas Department of Agriculture through the School Nutrition Program. All students on campus, regardless of income eligibility, will get one free breakfast meal and one free lunch meal per day from the cafeteria.

Meanwhile, all WISD online learners and children ages one to 18 have the opportunity to pick up free meals at Global High School, 275 Indian Drive. The district’s curbside program is open every school day from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Families will receive one breakfast and one lunch per child on the day of the visit. Meal distribution requires children to be in the vehicle to receive free meals.

There are medical exemptions available that allow parents to pick up meals without students present. Call the Waxahachie Student Nutrition Department at 972-923-4630 to discuss qualifying exemptions.

On-campus students will receive meals during their regular meal period at no cost. Snacks, a la carte meal items and additional entrees will be available to purchase.

If you have any questions, call the Waxahachie ISD Student Nutrition department, 972-923-4630.
