The Waxahachie Sun visited with Mayor David Hill about an overnight rain April 28-29 that saw Waxahachie Creek rise above its banks. The resulting flooding included Railyard Park, which Hill noted was specifically constructed and engineered to withstand any floods that might occur at its location.
