The Waxahachie High School homecoming court has been announced. Waxahachie High School celebrates its homecoming this weekend with the following activities: homecoming parade at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, starting downtown and going to Lumpkins Stadium; Friday night’s football game, when the king and queen will be crowned; and various activities slated by specific classes throughout the weekend. Other special events include a “mini” WaxaJam celebrating WHS’ musical alumni slated for 6-11 p.m. Friday at the Optimist Youth Center on Patrick Street. Admission is free, with the doors opening at 5 p.m. Also slated for homecoming weekend is the Waxahachie High School Ex-Students’ Association’s reception and awards ceremony, to be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Coleman Junior High School Fine Arts Center. Admission is free to the reception and awards ceremony.
