The Ennis High School horticulture program holds its annual plant sale beginning Monday, March 18, at the campus greenhouses. The sale offers 20 varieties of tomatoes, six varieties of peppers, 10 herbs, a “whole bunch of spring flowers (annuals and perennials)” and hanging baskets, as well as Christmas cacti and aloe vera plants. Once it opens the 18th, the sale continues until the plants sell out. Stop by the greenhouses between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, by checking in at the EHS campus guard shack on Lake Bardwell Drive (State Highway 34).
