At 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, CASA of Ellis County partners with The Avenue Church and Anchors and Arrows Foster Support Group to host the annual Candlelight Vigil for Abused, Neglected and Abandoned Children. Judge Jim Chapman, who presides over cases involving Child Protective Services in County Court at Law No. 1, will read a proclamation to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
