The Pumpkin Hach will be open every weekend in October, with hours from noon-8 p.m. Fridays, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturdays and from noon-5 p.m. Sundays. The event is being put together by local farmer Lee Calvert.

A donation will be accepted for admission, with proceeds benefiting Waxahachie FFA.

Pumpkin prices will range from $5-$15.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and those interested are asked to message organizers via the Facebook page, which can be found by searching The Pumpkin Hach or via the @tag, @PumpkinHach.

“We’re looking for some local business or organizations to sponsor some  kids activities, bounce house, face painting, etc.,” Calvert said on The Pumpkin Hach’s Facebook page. “Please let us know if you would like to take part in this new Waxahachie tradition.”

The Pumpkin Hach extends its appreciation to Custom Square Hay Company for signing on with the activity, noting that it will be supplying the small square bales as part of the display and available for sale to complwement holiday decorating needs.

Additional activities are in the works and will be announced as soon as details are available.
