According to the case line list provided by Texas Health Trace to Ellis County for Friday, July 31, there have been 2,390 total cases in Ellis County, of which 59 (54 confirmed and five probable) are active. There have been 2,309 recoveries to date.

The county’s release notes the continuing differences between the DSHS dashboard data and Texas Health Trace. Friday’s comparison is as follows:

The total case count should equal the sum of the active cases, recoveries and deaths. As of last report, Ellis County has seen 20,391 tests conducted.

Ellis County received its first positive case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 17. The county’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order expired Thursday, April 30, in line with the expiration of the governor’s order.
