It’s been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but especially on New Year’s Day! Feed the Fight delivered 350 breakfast tacos for the night shift saying goodbye to 2020 and the day shift coming in to start 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie.

“To all our #HealthcareHeroes who consistently put patients first, thank you,” a spokesman wrote on the organization’s Facebook page. “We celebrate you and wish you and your families a happy, healthy New Year. We’ve entered into a new year, but our commitment to getting through this moment together continues!

“Thank you to Pearman Oil & LP Gas Inc. and Taco Cabana for helping us start the year off on the right foot for these #healthcareheroes working over the holidays,” the spokesman said. “Please take every precaution you can as Covid-19 cases in Ellis County continue to spike and we’re seeing our biggest surge yet.”

The community’s assistance is sought to continue Feed the Fight’s efforts, with individuals, organizations and businesses interested in scheduling a donation to Feed the Fight asked to contact Melissa Chapman at 214-903-7364 or
