The Waxahachie Downtown Farmers Market is scheduled to open Saturday, June 6, with a scaled-back version of the regular market. Because of space limitations and distancing requirements, only last year’s vendors are allowed to participate at this point. If restrictions ease further into the season, new vendor applications may be considered. The market will not hold a formal grand opening or regular promotional days as in previous years. As a precaution, market visitors are asked to maintain social distancing and exercise other CDC-preventative measures when attending the market. The farmers market is located at 410 S. Rogers St. and will be open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays.
