3 Hermanos Taqueria #2

109 E Ovilla Road, Suite 300

Red Oak, TX 75154

A friend has been telling me about 3 Hermanos for a couple of years now. We decided to give it a shot recently and we were not disappointed. Conveniently located near I-35 on Ovilla Road in Red Oak, right next to Lil Caesar’s Pizza, it is easy to find.

When you walk in the restaurant has a nice, clean appearance. The staff are wearing mask and social distancing marks are labeled on the floor. The menu is lengthy; I suggest taking a look online before you arrive.

I ordered tacos, two birria, one pastor and one carnitas and a side of rice and beans. The birria were my favorite (if you haven’t had birria tacos yet, you’re missing out). The pastor was very good I loved the hint of pineapple as should be on pastor taco. The carnita was good as well.  The beans were good and, unfortunately, I can’t comment on the rice. My baby girl asked if she could have some and, before I knew it, she ate it all.

Everything arrived hot and tasted fresh and authentic. While eating, a man came around to check on us and see how things were going, turns out he was the owner. When he found out it was our first trip, he gave the kids some Mexican candy, a very kind gesture.

We also got a medium cup of elotes, which came out nice and hot with excellent flavor. I’m not a huge fan of elotes but my friend told me I “had to try it” so I did. I wasn’t disappointed, they were good.

They do offer takeout and it appears that takeout orders account for most of their business. While we ate many people came and went with takeout orders.

Overall, the experience was good, and I would go back there again. Everything appears nice and clean. The food was good, flavorful and arrived hot and fresh. If you find yourself looking for food, give them a shot; I think you will be pleased.
