“Income Tax Help”

Prepare your Simple 2018 Income Tax Return using “free” online software program from Taxact.com. You can complete and file your returns during class.

“AARP Smart DriverTEK Workshop”

Technology is changing the driving experience. The new Smart DriverTEK workshop will keep you in the know about the latest high-tech safety features in your current or future car. From lane departure warnings and smart headlights to blind-spot detection systems and more, the workshop will help you recognize how these technologies might enhance your driving safety and extend your safe driving years.

Developed jointly by AARP Driver Safety and The Hartford, the 90-minute workshop is open to all drivers and is free. Space is limited and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up today online at www.aarp.org/findaworkshop8 or call 1-877-805-4115.

“Getting up and Going Safely – Transfers”

During this session, we will discuss:

• The importance of safety precautions when assisting someone with transfers

• Tools available to assist with transfers

• Tips for assisting someone with arthritis or Parkinson’s disease

Friday, March 29, at 12 p.m. (noon)

This is the deadline to pay for your seat to travel with us on our annual field trip to the Dallas Arbore-tum. This day trip price is $40 nonrefundable.

The trip itself to see “Dallas Blooms – Life’s A Picnic” will be April 3; we will depart at 8:30 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m.

The Dallas Arboretum announces “Life’s A Picnic” as this year’s Dallas Blooms theme. Running from Feb. 23 to April 7, the spring festival features an extraordinary, larger-than-life, picnic scene topiary comprised of a stunning 40-foot by 40-foot picnic blanket, vase of flowers, picnic basket with pie and a giant picnic ant.
